conceive a boyWe have three children and we would like to have another boy. I know it’s not in my control on what we will have, but I know there are someways to better your chances. I have heard about a certain position, but any other suggestions would be much appreciative. Thanks

i don’t think there are many positions in specific which produce a boy …!!!
Cos you see..the male has the chromosome … so no matter what position your in the chromosome rules!!!

    Don’t be so ridiculous.

Look up the Shettles method. If you time sex for the day you are ovulating you increase your chances of having a boy. The male sperm are quick!! The female are slower but steady

congratulations on having 3 boys and actually feeling positive about having a 4th. I’m not being sarcastic. I mean my hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years with no luck so I really hope you get a girl. Like really I hope you get everything you want.

There are no guarantees but here are some things you can try.

The boy diet / girl diet theory holds that altering your body’s pH through diet may influence the polarity of the egg (if it has one), or make the vaginal environment more or less hospitable to sperm.

Diet high in potassium and sodium for a boy.
Diet high in calcium and magnesium for a girl.

Here is a website all about gender selection: http://www.in-gender.com

Evening Primrose Oil supplements are thought to help women conceive sons by increasing the production of higher quality cervical mucus. Many women also believe taking Guaifenesin during the five days before ovulation will help thin out cervical mucus that is too thick, thus improving the odds of conceiving a son. Potassium supplements are also sometimes said to benefit women who are trying to have boys.

    Read about guaifenesin: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/cm.html

    According to the Shettles Method:
Shettles says in order to increase the chances of having a boy, you should have sex no earlier than 24 hours before ovulation to 12 hours after ovulation.

Intercourse closer to ovulation the faster but less robust Y (boy) sperm. The cervical mucus present at ovulation is less acidic and “slippery” enough to help the Y (boy) sperm reach the egg more quickly.

Shettles suggests that if you are trying to conceive a boy, deep penetration from your partner, preferably with the “doggy style” position, will deposit the sperm closer to the cervix giving the more aggressive and quicker moving “boy” sperm a head start to fertilizating the egg first.

When trying to conceive a boy, Shettles suggests that orgasms during sex are a good thing as the body produces substances after orgasm that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the “boy” sperm. The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm up and into the cervix, giving the “boy” sperm an extra chance at being available when your egg is available for fertilization.

For the man: The man should wear boxers. Wearing tight fitting underwear increases the heat levels around the testes and can, in turn, lower the sperm count. Wearing loose fitting underwear helps keep the testes cooler. The man should drink a caffeinated beverage right before sex. This makes the Y-Sperm more active.
